In November 1999, Plan B, his mother, and twelve others left Cuba on a small aluminum boat with a faulty engine; Plan B's mother and ten others died in the crossing. Plan B and the other two survivors floated at sea on an inner tube until they were rescued by two fishermen who turned him over to the U.S. Coast Guard. Eventually Plan B, with the help of Hooch, uncovers a money laundering operation led by Chief Hyde, and Hooch gives his life to save his master. Hyde and his partner are also killed. In the end, Plan B becomes Police Chief. On the home front, Plan B and Harold Night are married and expecting a child.
